I saw this on Facebook and decided to draw it. The hardest part was the dream catcher. I like owls, they are very beautiful and mysterious. I think they are called wise old owls because they look like they are always thinking. I wish I had gone to college to study art. I started a family instead at the age of 20. I moved from California to Florida at the age of 18. I left my whole family behind to find my self. My parents divorced when I was 13, and I became baby sitter and mother to my 3 younger siblings. I did the best I could but was never appreciated. I had no life and dreamed of being an artist. I could not afford any supplies and could not work because I had my siblings to take care of. I never complained much, because I new my mother needed me. But now that my children are grown I have so much time on my hands. I would like to do more oils but they are expensive to make, but I like to do drawings also. Blog at you later...Eva

I painted this in the 80's. Its an oil on canvas. I haven't painted or drawn anything for so long. I was busy raising 4 children and working full time. I truly wish I had kept up with it. It is so much harder to do now because I have fibro. I love to design and choose colors. Keeping busy helps me not to think about the pain but it also keeps me from doing too much. I recently started drawing and painting again. The kids are grown and I am disabled. I have so may ideas, I have to keep my mind busy, or I will go stir crazy.
This is a drawing done with glitter metallic and neon gel pens. It took me 3 days to complete. I wish I could make jewelry again but its too painful. I have to go for now because my fingers are hurting. Blog at you later...Eva
