I completed the tenth row on my Pirate Flag. It's starting to look pretty good. I can't wait until it is finished. It is very time comsuming. But I am enjoying it. I love working with my hands.

Well I finished 5 rows on my Jolly Roger today. My shoulders and arms are hurting. I went to the Doctor last week and they say I have protruding discs in my neck, causing pain in my arms. I will need steroid injections. I hope it works, I am so tired of the constant pain.

I have done so many weaving projects now. I enjoy it so much that I decided to make a pirate flag of beads. I drew it out on graph paper. I am using a square stitch. I have only done three rows so far. This is going to take a long time. Each row contains 120 beads. It is going to take 10,800 beads to complete.

Today I started weaving beads. it is very complicated. One little mistake messes up the whole thing. The beads are so small you almost need a magnifying glass to see them. I decided to use crystal beads and weave around them. I had a hard time choosing the color, so i ended up with purple. I think I will put a silver bead in as well. Alternating between the crystal and the silver. I cannot wait until it is finished. Maybe I will trim the whole thing in silver lined glass seed beads.

I never thought I would be making jewelry. I enjoy it very much. I started out with chain maille. My mother gave me a book on chain maille. I gave it a try and could not stop. I made so many pieces. I decided to make beaded jewerly and designing them was very exciting. I had so much jewelry in order to make more I had to sell some, so I started a web page with help from a friend. I am going to start bead weaving. that sounds like fun.
